1-First Prime Minister of Pakistan is famous with his titles Quaid-e-Millat and Shaheed-e-Millat. He was assassinated on 16 October, 1951 at Company Bagh Rawalpindi by Said Babrak Afghan citizen after 4 years, 2 months and 2 days in office. He approved the objective resolution in 1949 from constitutional assembly.
2-Sir Khawaja Nazimuddin was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan from East Pakistan. Ahmadiyya movement 1953 and short fall of flour in the country were two important incidents of his tenure. He became second PM of Pakistan on 17 October, 1951. On 17 April, 1953 Governor General Malik Ghulam Muhammad dissolved his government. He remained in government for 1 year and 6 months.
3-Third PM of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Bogra was ambassador of Pakistan in USA at the time of his nomination as PM on 17 April, 1953. He presented the Bogra formula for preparation of constitution, but failed to make first constitution of Pakistan in 2 years, 3 months, 26 days of his government. His government and assembly was also dissolved by Governor General Malik Ghulam Muhammad.
4-Fourth Prime Minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Mohammad Ali prepared the first constitution of Pakistan in 1956. He acted as PM from 12 August, 1955 to 12 September, 1956. He remained Prime Minister for 1 year and 1 month.
5-Fifth Prime Minister of Pakistan was Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy. He was the first and last Prime Minister of Pakistan from Awami League. He took oath on 12 September, 1956 and resigned after 1 year, 1 month and 5 days on 17 October, 1957.
6-6th Prime Minister of Pakistan Ibrahim Ismail Chundrigar ruled the country just for one month and 29 days from 17 October, 1957 to 16 December, 1957.
7-Sir Feroze Khan Noon was 7th Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was the first and last Prime Minister from Republican Party. He got back the Gwadar from Oman. He ruled from 16 December, 1957 to 7 October, 1958 for 9 months and 21 days. His government was removed by first martial law of Pakistan.
8-General Ayub Khan remained as Prime Minister for 13 hours on the appointment of President Iskander Mirza. He kicked out the President after 13 years of his appointment as PM and himself became the second President of Pakistan. Generally he is not counted in the list of Prime Ministers.
9-8th Prime Minister of Pakistan Nurul Amin was the last PM of our country from East Pakistan. He was appointed as PM on 7th Dec, 1971. He left the office on 20th December, 1971. He enjoyed just 13 days as PM. He also acted as first and only Vice President of Pakistan from 1970 to 1972.
10-Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the first directly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was the 9th PM of country. ZA Bhutto remained on this seat for 3 years, 10 months and 21 days. He was also the one and only civilian chief martial law administrator of Pakistan. He prepared the 1973 constitution of Pakistan. Land reforms, nationalization of industries, banks and educational institutes, atomic program, ban on alcohol were important events of his reign. He was removed from power by the third martial law by General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. He was the founder of Pakistan People Party and first Prime Minister from PPP. He won 2 consecutive elections (1970 & 1977) in the country. He was sentenced to death.
11-Muhammad Khan Junejo was the 10th Prime Minister of Pakistan from 24 March, 1985 to 29 May, 1988 (3 years, 2 months and 5 days). He was the only PM of country who was elected through a non party election and assembly. He was elected as an independent MNA but then joined and become the President of Pakistan Muslim League. He was dismissed by President General Muhammad Zia ul Haq.
12-Benazir Bhutto became the 9th PM of Pakistan and first female Prime Minister of any Muslim country on 2nd December, 1988. After 20 months and 4 days his government was dismissed on 6th August, 1990 by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan. He was the second Prime Minister from PPP. She started the missile program of Pakistan.
13-Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif remained the 12th Prime Minister of Pakistan for two years, seven months and four days from 6 November, 1990 to 18 July, 1993. He adopted the policy of denationalization. He also launched yellow cab scheme. He also introduced motor ways in Pakistan. He was removed from power by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan in April 1993 but Supreme Court reinstated him. Later on both President and PM resigned for overcoming the political crisis.
14-Benazir Bhutto became the Prime Minister of Pakistan second time on 19 October, 1993. This time she could survive in power for three years and 17 days till 5th November, 1996. Attempted military coup by fundamentalist elements was failed in 1995. Her brother Mir Murtaza Bhutto was murdered by Police during her government. Her government patronized the Taliban in Afghanistan and launched operation in Karachi. President of her own party dismissed her government using 58-B-2.
15-Nawaz Sharif started his second term as PM on 17 February, 1997. This time his government was removed through martial law by Army Chief Pervez Musharraf on 12 October, 1999 after 2 years, 7 months and 25 days. He conducted the atomic tests on 28 & 30 May, 1998. He also tried to improve the relations with India through Lahore declaration.
16-Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali became the 15th Prime Minister of country on 23 November, 2002. He was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan from Balochistan province. He was the first PM from Pakistan Muslim League (Q). He was forced to resign on 26 June, 2004 after one year, seven months and 3 days in office.
17-Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was elected as PM for one month and 27 days on 30 June, 2004. He resigned on 26 August, 2004.
18-Shaukat Aziz was a economist by profession. He served as 17th PM of Pakistan from 28 August, 2004 to 15 November, 2007. He left the office after completion of parliamentary term on 15 November, 2007. He improved the economic condition of the country. He could remain in office for 3 years, 2 months and 18 days.
19-Yousaf Raza Gillani remained in the office of Prime Minister for maximum time i.e 4 years,2 months and 25 days (25 March 2008-19 June 2012). He was the first PM from Pakistan People Party who was not from Bhutto’s family. He was disqualified by Supreme Court on the allegation of contempt of court.
20-Raja Pervaiz Ashraf (PPP) became the 19th Prime Minister accidentally after the disqualification of Yousaf Raza Gillani on 22 June 2012 for 9 months and 2 days. He left the PM office on 24 March, 2013.
21-Nawaz Sharif started his third term in PM office on 5th June, 2013. He was also disqualified after four years, one month and 23 days in govt on 28 July, 2017. He became the victim of panama leaks. He started the CPEC during his reign.
22-Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stayed in PM office for 10 months from 1st August, 2017 to 31 May, 2018.
23-Imran Khan is the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He became the first PM from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on 18 August, 2018.
24-Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi was the first Caretaker PM of Pakistan. He conducted the elections of 1990. He was founder and Chairman of National People Party NPP.
25-Balakh Sher Mazari was the second Caretaker Prime Minister of country who could serve in office just for 1 month and 8 days in 1993. His govt was removed after Supreme Court decision.
26-Third Caretaker PM Moeenuddin Ahmad Qureshi conducted the 1993 elections. He was an economist by profession.
27-Malik Meraj Khalid was fourth Caretaker PM, who conducted the 1997 elections.
28-Fifth Caretaker PM Muhammad Mian Soomro conducted the 2008 elections. He has also served as caretaker President of Pakistan.
29-Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was the 6th Caretaker PM of country who conducted the general elections of 2013.
